AEGIS NEVER SENDS PATIENTS TO COLLECTIONS

Why did I receive a bill?

If patients receive bills from Aegis without recognizing the service. Here’s why:

Your doctor requested our team to review your case

We analyze your medications and lab work to improve your treatment plan.

We provided recommendations to your physician

Our remote pharmacists and pathologists work behind the scenes to help your provider make sure the medications they're prescribing are as safe as they can be for you. This is really important when you're taking several drugs together.

We billed your insurance

If you have an outstanding balance, it’s due to insurance co-pays, deductibles, or co-insurance — not an extra charge.

Why did my doctor refer my case to Aegis?

Your doctor asked our team to take a closer look at your medications and test results to make sure everything is working well together. This is often done when someone is on several medications or managing long-term health conditions.

What is a pathology review?

It’s a careful review of your medications, health history, lab results, and more. A licensed pharmacist does the work, and a medical doctor double-checks everything to help your doctor give you the safest, most accurate care.

Did I give permission for Aegis to see my health information?

Yes. When you signed your forms at the doctor’s office, you gave them permission to work with trusted medical partners like Aegis to support your care. We only look at your records to help your doctor help you.

Who is Dr. Kevin Rosenblatt?

Dr. Rosenblatt is one of the experts on our team. He works behind the scenes with your doctor to help catch things like medication issues or missing labs — all to help you stay safe and out of the hospital.

Why did I get a letter from my insurance?

That letter isn’t a bill — it’s just a note from your insurance company showing what was submitted and what they covered. Most of our patients don’t owe anything, and if you do, it’s usually a small co-pay or deductible and the average bill is around $20.

Why am I receiving a statement from Aegis Health Services? Why am I getting a bill from Aegis?

We send our review to your insurance first. If there’s anything left over, like a co-pay or part of your deductible, that’s what you’ll see on your bill. We never send patients to collections, and we’re always happy to help if you have questions.
